The Edmonton Ringette Club (ERC) awards up to three (3) scholarships annually to ERC players attending post secondary education during the upcoming ringette season (either entering or continuing post-secondary education). The ERC scholarships are valued at $1,000 each. 

The ERC scholarships will be awarded to individuals who have a strong commitment to Ringette, have thoughtfully written about what ringette means to them, and how it has shaped them.  Applicants should also have longevity with the Edmonton Ringette Club. 

Eligibility

To be eligible for the ERC scholarship, players must:

1. Be a member in good standing of the Edmonton Ringette Club and have played at least 3 years of minor AA ringette within ERC
2. Be attending post-secondary education or entering post secondary education in the upcoming ringette season, taking a minimum of three courses or 10 hours of course work each week 
3. Be currently playing on an ERC team
4. Have a strong commitment to ringette and the ERC
5. Candidates are not eligible to receive an ERC scholarship more than twice.

3. Leadership qualities and community volunteer involvement
4. General Impression (written letter strength - as determined by the scholarship committee)

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS WEDNESDAY APRIL 30, 2025

Recipients will be contacted directly by May 30, 2025.

Awarded funds will be provided once proof of registration at post-secondary institution is received and classes have begun (mid September 2025).

All applications will be reviewed by an independent panel and kept confidential.
