CAPT Information

CAPT (Concussion, Awareness, Protocol, and Training)

As part of Edmonton Ringette’s ongoing commitment to the health and safety of our athletes, we are thrilled to introduce CAPT (Concussion, Awareness, Protocol, and Training), a groundbreaking digital platform designed to manage concussions more effectively and safely. In partnership with CAPT and aligned with leading organizations, Parachute and the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC), we are setting a new standard in sports safety.

Why CAPT Matters?

Our decision to integrate CAPT into our health and safety protocols stems from a commitment to ensuring the well-being of our young athletes. CAPT provides us with:

  • A unified approach to managing concussions, simplifying and enhancing the recovery process.
  • Assurance that we’re adhering to the latest in concussion protocols.
  • Improved communication between coaches, parents, and athletes throughout the concussion recovery process.

CAPT’s Impact on Our Club

  • Prioritizing Safety: Quick and safe responses to suspected concussions, reducing long-term risks.
